The BMW motto is "The Ultimate Driving Machine."I visited the dealership in Manhattan on west 55th street to see it for myself,and I must say it was awesome.Just like marketing mix there is a retailing mix - the 6 Ps:product,place,promotion,price,presentation and personnel.
Once inside the dealership you can find the different the models of cars and motor cycles.They also sell accessories,such as cars parts,motorcycle helmets,bmw navigator,tires,lights,deflectors and many other accessories for both interior and exterior of the car.BMW also offers test drive for all the vehicles.The dealership is conveniently located in a high traffic area which makes it very noticeable.
There are approximately fifty employees at this location,and I must say they didn't look like a regular sales person,they all wore suites and I was intimidated,but they create a very friendly atmosphere for me, and at no point did I feel hovered over.I never felt pressure to buy a vehicle or motorcycle,which is big considering that these sales personnel works on commissions.The personnel where very knowledgeable,and they answered any questions you had about there products.
Although I didn't purchase a product from bmw, I had an amazing time seeing the different vehicle and their features. I left the store thinking to myself "I have to get a BMW". After all, an Ultimate Driving Machine® - and its driver - deserve nothing less than BMW Ultimate Service™.
